Valentine's Week Project

Love is in the air!

It's Valentine's week and I wanted an inexpensive but creative way to show my husband and kids love. As a mom and wife, I can show love in different ways to my family. I love being creative and this project is fun, not time consuming and cost me nothing as I had all the supplies already.  With a zero dollar budget this was perfect!

I came across the blog post My Mix of Six: Under Way on Pinterest and loved her idea for Valentine hearts on her kids bedroom doors. Please visit her blog for more inexpensive and creative ideas for Valentine's Day!

Supplies needed:
Construction paper
5 reasons you love each person

I cut out 15 hearts, 5 hearts for each person in different colored construction paper. I wrote on each heart why I love them. For example, on one of my daughters hearts I wrote I love her because she is creative. On one of my sons hearts I wrote I love him because he gives the best hugs. On one of my husbands hearts I wrote I love him because he is a great dad to our kids. My kids Valentine hearts will be added to their bedroom door. My husbands Valentine hearts will be put in his lunch bag. They all get one per day. I pray these "Why I love you" hearts will fill my family up with love from me. I love them to the moon and back!

What ways are you pouring love onto your family this week? What plans do you have for Valentines Day? I can't wait to read your comments!!

Thank you for being here!

  1. I love this, Starla. With only days to go until Valentine's I was wondering what I'll do for my family. With this fun craft I'll have all of them covered and fill up their love tanks at the same time. Thanks so much for sharing! Happy Valentine's Day, my friend.
