Earlier this year, our pastor called for a fast. The Daniel Fast. Here are some of the foods we still incorporate into our diet because we loved them so much.
Roasted veggies and homemade corn tortillas.
Frozen Banana Ice Cream.
Super yummy! Just peel and freeze ripe bananas.
Once frozen, puree in food processor and viola...Banana Ice Cream.
Lentil Bean soup, potato wedges and corn tortillas.
Spaghetti with whole wheat noodles, whole wheat garlic chips and salad.
Humus and veggie wraps.
Date Sauce. Like apple sauce but made with dates.
Super yummy! Soak dates in some water over night
then toss water and dates in blender till apple sauce texture.
We use this to add a little sweetness to things.
