Recipe: Chicken Flautas

This is my daughter's favorite meal. She regularly asks for chicken flautas. We top it with shredded lettuce, avocado sauce and sour cream. My son likes sour cream only on his.

Boneless Chicken Breast
Salt to taste
Corn Tortillas

Boil chicken breasts till done. Set aside to cool.
Shred chicken.

Wrap a handful of corn tortillas in a clean kitchen towel
and heat for 3 mins in microwave.

Place a small amount of shredded chicken on a tortilla.

Roll tortilla and pin closed with 2 tooth picks.

Continue till all shredded chicken is rolled up in tortillas.
I put two chicken filled tortillas together like pictured below.

Heat oil in skillet. Carefully place the rolled tortillas in skillet.
Fry till brown on each side.

Golden brown yumminess.

Topped just the way I like it!

I hope you enjoy this meal as much as my family does.

  1. Sounds delish! And so easy as well :)

  2. Oh my goodness, these look and sound so good. Would these freeze and reheat well too? Have you ever tried that?

Thanks so much for sharing (and for linking up to the SHINE Blog Hop).

    Wishing you a lovely week.

    1. I have never froze them before. They don't last long in my house. :)

  3. Now I know what I am having for lunch....those!

    1. They are super yummy! If you try them let me know how you like it!

  4. Pinning this!!! I haven't EVER made flautas! I don't know why...I guess I've just never taken the time to do it. I make everything else...just not flautas. When I see these, though, I can't resist the temptation to give it a try! I wonder if they'd come out the same if I fried them in the deep fryer? Hmmmm....I'll do a test to see!

    1. How did it turn out? I've never deep fried them. :)

  5. I have actually never made these, but you make it seem so simple! Going to give them a try! Thanks for sharing at Inspire Me Mondays!
