So today was a rough day. We all have them. In my quiet time with God, He asked me to write a list out of the good in my husband. He wants me to remind myself of good things and not focus on the negative. He asked me to change my perspective. He reminded me of this verse.
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
I believe God wants us to change our thinking and our perspective. He doesn't want us to dwell on the destructive thoughts but positive thoughts. He wants us to guard our hearts from the negative. Satan is quick to remind us of all the past hurts and wrong doings our husbands have done so let's counteract that with reminding ourselves of the good in our husbands.
Here is some of my list....
He loves me.
He loves our kids.
He is a hard worker.
He is a good employee.
He is a good provider.
He loves God.
He prays with me.
He'll do family devotions.
He wrote me a love letter.
He likes to give us good gifts.
We have fun together.
God has saved his life numerous times.
He is smart.
He can fix things around the house.
He doesn't approve of credit cards.
He protects us.
He plays with our kids.
So I want to challenge every married woman to remind yourself of the good in your husband by making a list. Let's choose to think on good and not dwell on the bad. Let's be women that think good of our men and not evil. Let's be intentional about being the wife God would have us to be.
