15 Fall Date Night Ideas

I love Fall weather. The crisp mornings are my favorite but I love the colors of the changing leaves, bonfires, sweaters and hot cocoa!

Who loves date nights? Me!!
Who doesn't get them in as often as I'd like? Me!!

I asked some friends of mine what would be some good ideas for Fall Date Nights with their spouses. Here is what we came up with. Let me know if you have one to add to the list.

1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch.
Most pumpkin patches have some fun things to do such as a corn maze, petting zoo and more. You might get lucky and find one that has a pumpkin catapult. Check out this website for a Pumpkin Patch near you. http://pumpkinpatchesandmore.org

2. County Fair or Festival
Have some fun playing the games, winning a gold fish, eating funnel cakes and sitting real close together on the Ferris Wheel.

3. Bonfire
Cuddle up together in front of a bonfire, talk, laugh and enjoy a smore together.

4. Hayride
Enjoy some cuddle time with an evening hayride in the cool night air.

5. Nature Hike
Get some fresh air and enjoy the view out on a nature hike or walk. Hold hands, bring a picnic and enjoy some hot cocoa.

6. Visit the Zoo
It's fun to bundle up in the cooler weather and walk hand in hand looking at all the Zoo animals.

7. Picnic Outdoors
Find a nice spot in the woods, field or by the lake and enjoy some warm soup and a hot cup of tea together. Look up at the clouds and day dream about your future.

8. Horseback Riding
Find a stable that offers easy trails through the woods and enjoy the scenery together. Top it off with a picnic.

9. Pay it Forward
World Kindness Day is November 13, 2014. Do something together that is kind for someone else. Examples: work in a soup kitchen, deliver meals to shut ins, collect coats and take them to the nearest shelter,

10. Stay In
Make a picnic on the living room floor in front of the fire place or grab a movie and cuddle on the couch.

11. Star Gazing
Bundle up together outside on a blanket and watch the stars. See if you can recognize any of them by name. Enjoy some hot cocoa or tea.

12. Drive In Movie
Buy some popcorn and soda, recline your seats and enjoy a movie right in the privacy of your own car.

13. Flea Market
You might find some great deals at the flea market. Enjoy the nice weather by walking around, holding hands and shopping.

14. Leaves!
Rake the leaves in your yard together, play in them and rake them up again.

15. Target Practice
Go to your local indoor firing range and shoot off a few rounds. Make it a fun competition to see who shoots at the bulls-eye.

**If all else fails, put a movie on in the living room for the kids and have a date night in your bedroom. Don't forget to lock the door. hint hint. Just being real, sometimes, it is hard to get away.

Date nights are important in our marriages. We must let go of the day to day stresses in life and have fun together as often as we can. Be playful! Laugh. Talk. Be silly. Remember why you wanted to marry your spouse in the first place. Be loving. Speak your spouses love language. Make your spouse a priority! Flirt!

Share this with your friends and family who need a reminder!

Blessings,

Starla J.

  4. These are great. We love to go to the beach when the weather gets a little cooler and look for shells. We find we can walk a lot farther when the sun isn't heating things up as much. Plus when the waves are rougher, the water stirs up some of the harder to find shells : )

My oldest daughter is going to a Girl Guides camp near the end of October. I'm hoping to arrange care for my youngest so the hubby and I can have some much needed time alone. I might have to pick a couple things off of your list!
