I Am Like a Toy Piano.

Have you seen A Charlie Brown Christmas? Remember the part where Schroeder is playing the small toy piano and all the other kids are enjoying the music and dancing? Instead of the flat metal chiming sound that a toy piano would normally make, Schroeder is able to play beautiful classical music! Amazing!

Yes, It's only September and my kids and I have already started watching Christmas cartoons. Don't judge me. hahahahah.

This part in the cartoon made me think of my relationship with God. I am like that toy piano. On my own, I do not have it in me to create or make anything grand. However when I run after God and allow Him to be my strength, to use me, and to work through me then something amazing happens! God will do great things through me that will bring Him glory!!

 God will show up!

I get this picture in my head of a girl waiting excitedly but nervously at a closed door. She is waiting for it to open. Completely scared but so excited to be used by God. Waiting for that door to be opened to her God given purpose. Clinging to God for the breakthrough. Breathing in the presence of God and the peace that He brings. Learning to be used by God for His glory. Waiting for God to open the door.

I am nothing with out Him. I am not strong enough, smart enough, clever enough, and certainly not brave enough. However, when I rely on Him to be my everything, He will do great things through me. Like making beautiful music with only a toy piano.

Ephesians 2:10
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do."

I encourage you to cling to God and allow Him to make beautiful music through you. He has great plans for you. The Creator of this universe is in love with you. Just imagine!
