These Heavy Chains.

The heavy chains of worry.

No matter what is going on in our lives, I believe there is a reason to be thankful. By being thankful in those hard times, I believe it opens doors and windows to peace.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

"In everything give thanks; For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

What would happen if we started being thankful during those storms we are walking through?

What would happen if we verbally started speaking out our thankfulness over our situations?

What if instead of letting the worry over take us, we asked God to take over?  [tweet this].

By choosing to let go of the heavy chains and trust in God; He will bring peace. I believe peace will fill our hearts, our lives and in those hard life situations.

I've had enough bad stuff going on in my life. It's nice to know God has everything under control. He is sitting on His throne. He is Peace. Nothing happens without first going through His filter. His hands are holding us even when we don't believe it. Every time we start to feel that worry sneak in, let's immediately submit it to God and speak thankfulness over that situation. Thanking God that He has an end to that storm. Thanking God for His refuge and peace during that valley. If your husband, kids, family or friend is the cause of worry; ask God to bless them. Tell God you are thankful for that person and ask God to bless them. Whatever that blessing may be; true salvation, health, peace, healing etc.

Once you pray for the situation, thank God for Him answering it and healing the situation. Thank God! Bless the mess!

Let's not waste another day worrying. Let's live in grace. Let God do His job. He has us. He has our situation in His hands. Trust God. Let's enter into His rest. Remind yourself of who He is and who you are in Him.

Lord,

Thank you for who you are. You are Holy. You are trustworthy. You are my King Of Kings and Lord of Lords. You have all this figured out. I can trust in you. Help me to let go of these heavy chains and give them to you. I give you the pain, hurt, anger, guilt, shame, worry and anything else that is holding me back. I thank you for this storm. I thank you for this person. Bless them Lord. Bring peace! Thank you Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Blessings,

Starla J.
