This is What it Means to be Loved.

Biblical truths about God's love for us all.

The world is quick to tell us who we are, what we are not or that we don't measure up, but the Bible tells us we are loved. LOVED! Open the Bible and search for yourself. Find out who you are in Christ. Know God's word for yourself. Apply it to your life. Speak it over yourself and your loved ones. It is life transforming when we know, speak and trust in God's word.

This is what it means to be loved...

This is What It Means to be Loved by Jesus.

The Bible is full of scripture that tells us of God's love for us. We are not forgotten, abandoned, unloved, and unwanted. We are adopted, cherished, thought of and loved.

 Romans 8:37-39(NIV)

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:4-5(NIV)
 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Psalm 86:13(NIV)
 For great is your love toward me;

    you have delivered me from the depths,

    from the realm of the dead.

Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV)

The Lord your God in your midst,

The Mighty One, will save;

He will rejoice over you with gladness,

He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”

John 3:16 (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Let's remember all God has done for us and how much He loves us.

Let's take in, just a moment, how Holy our Living God truly is!

Let's remember the sacrifice that was made for our sins.

Let us humble ourselves before Him.

His love for us is so great.

This is what love is.

Sunday, March 29, 2015, is Palm Sunday and starts this years' Holy week

This week, in my house, we read the story, with our kids, of Jesus' triumphal entrance into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-11) through His death and resurrection. We also made homemade Palm Leaves and marched about shouting "Hosanna! Hosanna!" and "Jesus is King".

Palm Sunday activity

If you and your family observe Palm Sunday and Holy Week, how do you celebrate/observe it?

More than Blessed,

Starla J.

  3. We usually attend church - I am not sure this year. When the kids were younger, we would get out the resurrection eggs! Sometimes we still do! But I'm out of town until the day before Easter - I'm not sure what we will do or how it is all going to unfold.

    Be Blessed!

  4. We did our activities at church, and we've rested. We're also reading through a family Bible study called "Love Is" from Doorposts.com, based on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Reading about the triumphant entry and the New Testament stories leading up to the crucifixion sound fitting too. Thank you for sharing!
