5 Daily Affirmations of God's Love

Bible verses on God's love for us

We must believe that God loves us perfectly and unconditionally.

He is love. It's who He is. We can not earn it nor do we deserve it.

We can either receive it or not receive it.
We must daily choose to put on God's love.

God knows everything about us. He created us before we took our first breath as a newborn infant.

He cares deeply for us.

And if you're like me, you may struggle to fully grasp that you are worthy, enough, beautiful and loved.

I'm working on breaking the chains of negative self talk and this is how I'm doing it.

5 Daily Affirmations of God's Love for Me

Bible verses on God's Love for us

#1 God's thoughts of you are so many, you can not put a number on them

How precious to me are your thoughts, God. How vast is the sum of them. Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand -- when I awake, I am still with you.
Psalm 139:17-18

God - not your spouse, children, pastor - BUT God loves you and thinks about you all the time. All day long, everyday, even when you are sleeping, God thinks of you!

Please grasp this truth! The creator of this universe. The One that is in complete control. To Whom every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, thinks of you ALL the time.

#2 God Thinks Good Thoughts of You

For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

God doesn't go around thinking how badly you messed up or how you'll never change. He thinks you are amazing and have great potential! His love is deep for you, my friend! He has good thoughts of you....all day long.

#3 God's Love Gives Life

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

God's love for you is so amazing that He offers not just life but a more abundant life! What does abundant life mean? It means to have a fullness of joy and strength in your mind, body and soul. God is a good God!

#4 God Will Never Leave You

When you pass through the water, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2

Hard times are a part of real life. We all, at some point, will walk through a hard time in life. A death of a loved one, betrayal of a friend, an affair, financial problems, etc.  But even through the ugliest of days, God is still near and will not allow you to be overtaken by the difficult times. Nor does He love you any less. Yes, we must chose Him, but His love for us never sways.

#5 God's Love for You is Personal

But now, this is what the Lord says - he who create you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." Isaiah 43:1

God calls you by name. He has your name written on the palm of His hand. (Isaiah 49:16) He can never forget you. He wants to restore and redeem you. He wants to overwhelm you with the full knowledge of how deeply and personally He loves you. (Ephesians 3:18)

It's not enough to try on your own accord to stop the negative self talk sometimes. Daily declaring God's written word to yourself is key!

Even if you must repeat these truths a million times a day until you finally get it. Never stop speaking God's truth over your life.

You are loved!

  1. This reminds me of one of my favorite verses, Zephaniah 3;17 that says that God rejoices over me with singing.
